Garden & Grow Club

Please click on 'IN THIS SECTION GARDEN/GARDEN & GROW CLUB' to see everything we've been doing!

Garden and Grow Club is on Tuesday afternoons from 2.15pm.

This year we will be thinking about Plants & Habitats.  We will learn about a new approach (polyculture) that farmers are using to produce food in a changing world and climate. We will plant a variety of flower seeds for insects and bees, improve existing and plan and create new areas for wildlife in our school grounds.

The children will also continue to learn about composting, reducing waste, recycling and reusing.

We are thrilled to have new team members!!

This term we are working with the children on their Living Things and their Habitats enquiry questions; growing lots of organic fruit and vegetables using a companion planting system, developing the new wildlife area, pond and kitchen garden.

EMIB 2024 Gold Award: Best School Garden and Wildlife Garden in the East Midlands!  The children did an amazing job explaining to the judge about outdoor learning at our school. Please see the report below.
